Spring Home decoration ideas

Welcome crafty friends!
today two ideas to work with this beautiful products from
 Le Tresor de Luxe

I love spring and shabby chic style,
the right mix for a wonderful easter home decoration or as gifts for lovely friends.
Laces in combination with mixed media products such as chalky finish,
crackle paint and distress inks are really perfect together.
For me simply indispensable when I create projects in altered art.

Photo frame - Golden Memories -

before it was a simply unsightly white plastic frame
now it has an unmistakable character
beautiful old card was a gift from a friend
let's see if they recognize it :-)

- mix chalky finish paint and crackle paint
- let it dry
- add distress ink with cloth
- stamp with archival ink black

as usual I use only pieces from this brilliant laces as highlight
together with the light blue green color the altrosa roses are so wonderful
and the pearls and silver lines set very good accents

I added old fabric, stamped, distressed and cut out with a pinking shears

and you know Easter is coming soon
and therefore I will share with you
my first shabby chic easter egg in this year

I used a stoneware egg, distress ink, old bookpages and vintage photo
a text stamp and this awesome laces
not to forget the sweet little rhinestone heart
from Le Tresors de Luxe

Ancestry

Welcome my new and old followers!

Sometimes you'll soon be feeling pangs of wanderlust
that was already the case with my father .
Freely adapted from the proverb: "Like father like son (or daughter :-) )
oder
''der Apfel fällt nicht weit vom Stamm ''

I would like to leave my place by this bad weather, but it's not possible in moment.
therefore I have created a vintage Layout for my father to remember him on his wishes as he was a child 5 years old.

I used an old scrapbook paper (one of my favourites)
from Bo Bunny - weekend market around the world

Human Heart Part 2

Hi friends!

our theme at Sandee & Amelies Steampunk challenge
 Anything Goes - Steampunk/Industrial
I was so excited that it necessarily had to be a second art journal spread.
Do you remember on my first sites to one of my favourite songs?

Tutorial - texture and resist effects -

some of you have asked me, how I did
the worn (peel) effects

1. old bookpages glued with decoupage paper glue
2. primer = white gesso with baby powder, so it's more solid and dry
3. use an old credit card ( possible even with old paint soiled ;-))
and pick up the color slightly again

brown stains with dye distress ink walnut stain

I drippled this distress ink and sprayed with water, let it run
together with resist effect from white gesso emerge darker and light, shaded stains

Happy crafting!

Happy Moments

Welcome!
today a new Layout to Valentine's Day.
Not only the day for romantics and those in love,
also to remember on beautiful and happy moments with loving people and animals.

You can see a photo from me and my first love :-)
It was a budgie and his name was 'Bubi'
He loved to play with zippers, fringe and to sort buttons and puzzle.
I remember me on a lot of fun and happy moments.
